May is Better Hearing & Speech Month
Did you know May is Better Hearing & Speech Month? This year’s theme is “Communication: The Key to Connection.” Better Hearing & Speech Month is a time to increase awareness about hearing loss and problems that create barriers for communicating. There are tons of alternatives to help enhance hearing, therefore it is important to increase awareness about hearing loss and related problems to Nano hearing aids and improve treatment of those difficulties.
In regards to those who experience hearing loss, one of the primary observations I hear is that individuals feel isolated prior to becoming hearing aids. Family collecting and social outings become stressful when you can not know what your nearest and dearest are saying. This may spark feelings of loneliness, frustration, and humiliation.
